Hi, friends call me Jay..
I'm in a clapped LMM, built my engine with callies durastar crank, cam, rods, race cast pistons, 7/16" cromo pushrods, 220lb OTN wagler dual springs, factory cp3 w/ 30% sticks, LLY turbo with a KB Diesel compressor & 10 blade turbine.

Trans is 750hp kit from DHD, 2000-2200 stall converter.

I added a few toys like banks intercooler, WCFab hot & cold pipes with y-bridge, PPE manifolds & up pipes, PPE trans cooler, and PPE stainless coolant pipes.
Probably more, I have a build book somewhere.

Next step is compounds, probably going to start with a CAT turbo someone gave me, 72? Compressor just because it was free and gives me reference to how to not do it (pretty sure the turbine A/R is to big)
60% or 100% sticks with more pumping. Wanted to go dual CP3, but that interferes with my mad idea to fit a A2W intercooler under the hood.
We'll see, first vblock rebuild, needed a platform to learn tuning, it's going to have a hard life.

It's way more work than stuffing jugs & pistons in an old cat.

Learning a lot of math, pretty sure I have injector math figured out, need to figure out cp3 sizing now, more digging.

I'm looking for 1khp by 5k rpm in less than 50° injection window, I figured a 42LPM injector gets me in around 40° if I can keep it fed.
Need to find pump flow curves unless someone wants to share something for a 12mm & 14mm

I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish but if you you are referring to a Duramax then you should be aiming for less then 30°. Preferably low 20s. So figure you injector size to do that.

Plenty of people have already figured out what sized injectors for different power goals. Might just do a forum search as it's all here. Same for the CP3s

I was looking at maximums, it seems some guys spraying long. Idk, one area of expertise at a time.
My observation says more than ~ 18-20° crank angle is either going to be way early and break parts or be late and melt parts

Appreciate your perspective, HP recipes are great for weekend warriors, I'm more of a data nut than that.

Mostly just a test bed engine, I built it to learn tuning on, and I'm learning way more than I anticipated.

Probably make plenty of mistakes, but that just gives more data & I have a lot to learn. So far so good, I'm currently trying to decide if I want to start on fab up on the compounds or building a water/meth setup.
