Hey all, just got signed up on the site. Been looking round here for a while now. I couldn't pass up an 05 LLY cc/sb couple weeks ago. I've been wanting to make the plundge into a duramax for quite some time, and it finally happened. I am a GM guy tried and true. I have 7 vehicles now and they all have a bowtie except 2. They are stamped with GMC. I drove this truck for 5 days and said there's no way I can keep this thing stock. Only thing I have that's stock is an 07 equinox. It had a couple issues, front end wise, so I tore that apart and got upper and lower ball joints, hub bearings, inner and outer tie rods along with the tie rod support sleeve, cognito center link supports, idler arm, pitman arm, CV shafts, and u-joints for the front and the rear driveshafts. So now that everything is up to par in the front end it was time to get to ordering parts. Now tell me if y'all agree with my decisions. I got an LBZ mouthpiece, LBZ K&N air intake, drivers side exhaust manifold, modded up pipe, EGR delete, PPE ported fuel rail fitting, 3" intake bridge with 3" intake with 3 ports, 3" hot and cold side intercooler pipes, 3" Diamond eye down pipe, 4" Flowmaster exhaust without cat, and sending out ECM 2mrw for EFI Live programming with the DSP5 switch. I've spent quite a bit on this already so I'm gonna drive it after I get everything and put it on then I suppose I'll go into the tranny. I went with the big air kit from All Season Diesel Performance. Anybody using this kit? I know this is a long first post but I would like to get people's feedback on my purchases. Should I be looking at the fuel pressure regulator and possible dual CP3's? In the next couple weeks I will also be purchasing FASS fuel pump/air separator/filter titanium 150. Anything else I need to cover? Thanks guys in advance for any and all feedback. I'm sure I'll be picking a lot of people's brains on here for advise.
