heavy duty front end parts

Here is something some of you Duramax guys, races, pullers, off roaders might be interested in. We just finished installing the complete Kryptonite series upgrade to the front end of White Out from the Dmax Store. Center link, idler arms, pitman arms tie rods and braces. These things are beefy. Check out these pictures. I like the center link because it allows you to turn in a shorter radius and the tie rods are super beefy. So far so good. I'll let you know in a few months how they are holding up. Rob raced White Out in the Super Diesel class in Spokane this weekend and won. Said the truck launched great and no scrubbing at all with the front tires. We are putting the exact same setup on Max'd Out.

THey sure as hell look beefy. Looks like that outer tie rod boot doesn't fit the spindle location very well though?

I'd be more curious as to longevity of them on a DD....I know my cognito rods didn't last very long, never would have broke them, just they didnt last.

And with these actually making turning radius better is nice though.

I had put this stuff on like a month ago, and as I stated, they are awsome parts. I am glad that the new setup works good at the track.

My cognito is ok but, still will not launch straight when pushed hard. Any Idea on how much $$ a setup like that is?

You can buy it in pieces or the whole package you will have to call Mike at the dmax store for prices.

Can you buy the replacement ends for the tie-rods if and when they wear out? Thats my biggest concern with buying a set-up like that. I bought the fab-tech rods back when i first got the truck and didnt know they werent for a lifted front. Now i need new ones. Just not sure how to do it yet. Whether to rebuild my factory rods and sleeve them, or buy a set like these above. All depends on replacement ends.

You cant buy dmaxs stores rod ends over the counter at any parts store (though im sure if you brought to napa they could find a crossover) but they are lifetime warrentied through dmax store. Not being able to get a part over the counter at any parts store is another reason i dont like the dmax store setup

Im thinking I just may put stock tie rods and sleeves on for the time being since my cognito's have play at the inner joints

You guys will like this setup over the straight centerlink/cognito stuff. I jsut wish they used something stronger than cognito braces to keep the centerlink from rotating. Ive been runnin the EXAXT setup for the last two years and that dmax store setup is just like exaxt's accept for the centerlink brace. Ive beat the piss out of the steering on my truck and i still have barely any toe in with a hard 4wd lauch and 45k on the steering. and thats cranked or uncranked You guys can take my word for what it is but tompat on DP and i have spent alot of time and money with different steering systems and designs to figure out what would work best for us. So far, exaxt and dmax store have elimitated most of the weak points.

dont quote me, but i think it is 70's dodge pickup tierod ends. Anyway their stuff is lifetime warranty on the tierods.

works quite well dan. ive yet to break/bend an inner tie rod. broke the inner race on the outer tie rod, bent a idler arm support, and lost two ball joints but the inners have no issues other than i had one wear out from a manufacture defect.
