heater core question

That plastic fitting comes off with a 1/2 fuel or a.c. remover I believe. It's like $7 if I remember right. No need to change or remove heater core. I'd replace both. But yes if needed you can just connect the hoses together and lose your heat.

Just pull the plastic piece off and connect hose to heater core line itself. That's what I did. No more plastic to worry about. Also check you drivers side engine mount since the line broke. Mine got ripped off because the engine mount was completely seperated allowing the motor to twist too far.

It takes a 3/4" disconnect tool.

OK that's a good idea...don't even think to run it strait to the core! Good call on the mount, I'll check it in the morning! Thank you!!
