Ok well I've been having pressure in my coolant tank and radiator hose for a bit of time now, sometimes real firm sometimes about average(15-16psi). My coolant doesn't seem to expand or contract in the tank as it's supposed to, it will stay at the middle.but if I go wot a couple times, the level will go Lower? But the hose is never hard after sitting for a bit, say after 4 hours it's squishy like there's coolant in the hose but not pressurized.. Any idea other tha bad hg? I've already bypassed the egr cooler btw, this had been a on going headache for me!!

Do a compression test if you are worried about a head gasket. It is normal for a coolant tank to be pressurized for a bit after you drive..

But it's not normal to have your coolant level go down when you hammer on it? Am I right. ? Shouldn't it expand
