Hey guys, this forum has been a lot of help for me and my o3 lb7, and i was wanting some more if you don't mind me asking. A buddy of mine told me that if i was replacing injectors i should do head gaskets and head studs as well. is this true? and if i dont, will i be at risk of tearing something up down the road with a tune? Thanks.

If the head gaskets aren't leaking and your not gonna be making 800+hp anytime soon don't waste your money.

I just finished head gaskets, major pain in the ass. If gaskets are not leaking, just do injectors, high pressure lines, and adjust valves.

I have seen many people do injectors and then "boom" Pressurized cooling system. So then they think they need head gaskets when actually they broke the seal on the injector cup doing injectors.

Whatever you decide. PULL AND RESEAL EVERY SINGLE CUP EVEN IF YOU DONT THINK IT BROKE THE SEAL. BECAUSE IT DID. Be sure to get return lines tight.

I wouldn't say you need to pull each and every injector cup. if the injector comes out easy and the cup is still in solid then i wouldn't worry about it. it you have a few stuck injectors that take a lot of force to remove then yeah, probably should remove the cups. or if you are unsure then remove and reseal them.

i have pulled and replaced all of the injectors on my LB7 twice and a few random injectors here and there and have not pulled any of the cups. so far so good

Yeah it's all wonderful until it's not.

The only way to do it right is pull all the cups. Otherwise your just gambling.

The words I always laugh when I hear... "So far so good" or "I did it this way and it's fine so far"

After pulling a few injectors I was talked into doing the cups and I'm so glad I did because they came out way too easy. Well almost all of them, a few had to come out with a slide hammer
