just curious when should a guy start looking at getting head work done such as new valves and springs exc... what are the limits you need to watch for before floating a valve...?

Moved here for better responses hopefully .

IMOP I think either big boost ( above 55-60 ) I would upgrade the valve springs at a min , and like wise to higher RPM ( above 3800-4000 ) . as far as head work , if you have the money it is a good idea but if you are short on funds then you can still make good power on stock heads plenty of guys have hit 800-1k hp o stock heads with upgraded valve springs .

I always beef up the springs and pushrods for over-rev protection. So far, we have had no rpm-related valvetrain failures. I get my revkit stuff from Guy at SoCalDiesel.
