The truck drove fine with not troubles last night. In the morning on my way to school I noticed that I had zero heat, blew cold even on 90. On down the road I noticed my coolant temp was in the middle of 210 and 260.. Like 235 I'd say. I could smell coolant thru the ac. Shut it down and I could see smoke on the top of my engine in the area of the egr cooler and the intake horn/y bridge what ever it is.

There was a big pile of coolant under the truck, all over the powersteering pump, trans pan, front axles etc. etc. but no trace to a source.

Also when I turned the truck off I could hear coolant or something relasing pressure from the area of the honr/ybridge... I loosened the coolant cap till the pressure died down and that stopped that.

What could it be? Head gasket? heater hose? Hopefully egr cooler or somewhere else

Usually head gaskets will pressurize the coolant system and blow it out the coolant tank overflow hose. It sounds to me like you have a leak somewhere and were seeing the effects of a low coolant situation. I would try to figure out where the coolant you were seeing all over the engine is coming from. I would say clean it off really well so you can see easier where it is coming from and fill it back up; it will probably leak as you are filling it back up.

Heres what Im thinking (hoping) would this make anywsense to you guys? Ive had an internally leaking erg cooler for some time, and i think it finally blew out even more. That would be my coolant lose, and would explain the lack of heat. Because the heater hose comes from the egr to the heater.

I will do alittle checking here in a sec, I just didnt see anywhere when I looked. Ima unhook the intake tube, that oughta give me more eye ball room
