Hi everyone,

New to the forum. Figured you all knew your stuff so i thought I would ask this question here.

Just did my first head gasket job on an 01 lb7 that is completely stock. Just put everything back together and hooked the batteries up and immediately the hazards lights starting flashing, little red alarm is going off in the truck, and its dinging and lights are flashing on the dash. It will not even let me turn it over

So anyone have any recommendations. Im assuming its something wrong with the wiring.

Thanks in advance guys. All help is greatly appreciated.

Ensure you reconnected all the grounds (including the big ground strap on the back of the driver's side head). Just double-check any wires you touched.

Worst case you can start pulling fuses and see if/when things start behaving. But I suspect you missed a ground somewhere, or have a loose positive wire (glow plug or intake air heater?) shorting to something and powering things up that shouldn't be.

Started pulling fuses tonight and when I pull IGN A (it's one of the big 40s) all my flashing lights, alarm, dash light problems go away. As soon as I plug it back in it does the same thing. What does this mean?
