Hawk Rescue

You got the sneaky kind that is friendly enough to get your trust, then bite you..... They usually thrive on your reaction. As hard as it is, you sometime have to endure the pain. If you don't react, they don't get the pleasure of making you flinch, & often don't try anymore. There is no guarantee, & it takes a bloody finger to find out.

Mine still makes the mean sounds when you make her do something she does not want to & even grabs your fingers, but never bites down on them.

Hope the little one makes it. I have always liked predatory birds. We have a bunch of little kestrels that live by my house and theyre a blast to watch. Theyre hawks like the size of pigeons.

At your girlfriends house
HAHAHA and everyone thinks Mike is an asshole. Do I see a soft side cowboy? :baby:

Glad to see ya helped him Mike. Personally I have waged an all out war with birds around my house. Im sick of them always shitting on my truck when I wash it. As a matter of fact I spent most afternoon Saturday washing/detailing truck to find bird shit all over it Sunday morning. Sooo I sat outside with my BB gun Sunday evening with some beers and shot every damn feathered asshole I could find. Its pretty funny watching a birds ass get clipped and fall into yard off a garage and fly away knowing his turd cutter hurts. Oh well....guess you had to be there. It was funny to me

Thats most likely illegal if youre shooting all species so I suggest you not post things like that on the internet.

I don't know maybe someone here does, but if a bird, or anything for that matter, is destructive to your property, it is called a pest, and you have the right to engage. If you have a hawk killing several of your chickens, and you catch him in the act with a 12 gauge in hand, what would you do?

I dont live in California so no.
Touché

So much is illegal here, I don't even check anymore. I just assume I'm breaking the law. CA is ridiculous. Now they are trying to ban plastic bags, which would cause a local plant to lay off nearly all of their employees if it gets ratified. :screwy:

But seriously, I doubt the police are going to come bashing down his door because he said he shot a bunch of birds in the a$$. What he did wasn't wrong/immoral, it was just (probably) illegal. That could be said of 99.8% of the things anyone does in this state. I'm sick & tired of people in government who know nothing about the situation (and little to nothing in general) trying to run every little detail of people's lives.

Bleh, OK, rant complete.

So, Mike, did the hawk make it?

People are, and have been boycotting Cali, for along time, different subject though, if Mike helps out a bird, that is his buisness, the only problem would be if the bird came across property lines and caused damage. Is it legal to jack with wild baby birds?

OK for Christs sake lets not make this into a tree hugger thread.

So Mike are you a hero or a zero in this birds (Hawk) eyes? :thumb:

Probably a zero but who cares. I did the right thing. Lucky for the bird that my neighbor knows his shit, and lucky once again that my wife has seen him over the last couple of years standing in front of his house with a hawk on his shoulder. I never saw him. He/she lives.:thumb::D
