you go to your first pull ever pulling your truck, you get there and you are the only chevrolet in a ten mile radius and eveyone looks at you funny wondering what the hell you are doing when you are changing your tires in the middle of a field and slamming the front end of your truck, everyone is making jokes and laughing at you that you are about to pull a chevrolet, you back up to the sled and everyone is telling you wont make it past the 150 mark without your tierods falling off and what happens next just shuts everyone up even me

first hook ever
next hook goes 260 something with regeared sled that was stopping everyone at 250

Thats awesome. I took a couple young (early 20s) Ford guys for a spin yesterday. Lets just say they were impressed and said they made a mistake with getting a Ford and if they had it to do over again, they'd get a Chebby. They were pleased that they didn't race like they had asked to do when they pulled up to me. :D I was so proud.

I wish the pulling was the same in these parts but unfortunately its not. The Duramaxes are WELL respected around here thanks to Ryan Uptegraft (2.8" type classes) and his buddies (run in the work stock classes). So I won't be able to go in and "lay the smack down" and it be a surprise anyways (unless I beat one of them ;) ). Pulling is pretty common here though with several places to go 3 or 4 nights a week in the summer.

It is true. Not many think a GM can hang with trailered Dodges. They say dumb things to you, pick you, and than you pull! Now you can not find them to ask what you did wrong. Why? Because they ran and hid and your busy telling others how little it really takes to make a GM run.

Great Job by the way!

I feel your pain.

1. Remove pull along trailer that hauls pulling tires, weights, tool box and gas powered air compressor,

2. Remove ball mount and replace with pullin hitch.
2(a) Watch Trailered in Dodge owner's look at you like your out there.

3. Jack rear of truck up and install rear-end blocks.

4. While Rear is jacked up, remove hwy tires and install pulling tires.

5. Jack front-end up and lower torsion bars.

6. While front is jacked up, remove hwy tires and install pulling tires.

7. Install weight bar with all the weights.

8. Kick the butts of most trailered in Dodges.

9. Repeat steps 1 thru 7 in the dark, in a pile of cow poop, after everyone else has gone home.

Yes it's worth it.;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Yes, i know what that is like! I was laughed at many times at different pulls, but after shutting their mouths all last season, this year should be different! I expect to see more than just my Duramax in this area this year! Besides TurboBeagleBuggy, when he comes over to pull with me!

1. Find level parking spot.

2. Unload PSD and unhook trailer.

3. Lower torsion bars, set tire pressure, load KILL tune, hang weight, clamp springs, and set travel stops.

4. Beat most if not all of the trucks in 2 classes including said trailered in Ford (sorry Kevin).

5. Ponder for a few minutes why you have no friends now, when you had so many before the event.

6. Undo step 3 in the dark while it's raining, smiling the whole time.:D
