Hard into gear

After I trashed the tc I put a new one in along with a spin on and internal filter. There was some metal looking stuff in my fluid. With the new one installed it goes into gear reverse or forward hard, after a good pause. Does this sound like a valve sticking or something? Is it easy enough to clean if that's all it is?

Did you flush the cooler and lines?

Reset garage TAPs first and see what happens.

No I didn't flush either of them. Figured it would be fine with just new filters as the majority of the gunk would have spilled out with the fluid. Reset the taps with efi live work okay? Ill have to do this down the road as I am working on the motor currently.

my trans would do the same thing....you would drop it in gear and it would hesitate for a second then slam into gear..........but as usual it fixed itself and has not done it again. it did it for a day

Yeah I was thinking it would get better and better. Just kinda flush whatever it is outta the system eventually. Only thing is I don't drive the truck on the street so who knows how long that would take
