I'm a pround new owner of a 08 Silverado C/cab L/box. Been wanting to get into a Duramax for several years now and finally got my chance. From the look of some of the posts, I've got some catching up to do when it comes to understanding what can be done to the "Max". I've owned two Ford trucks in the past and currently own two Diesel Suburbans with 6.5s but none of them hole a candle to the new rig. Just for giggles I'll list what has been done so far and maybe try to get some pics posted soon. I lifted it with a 6" RCD lift and bolted 20" Preditor Ultras to 35X12.5X20 Toyo Mts. I installed an Edge Juice w/attitude chip and put on a Cat back Magnaflow pipe with no muffler (which made little to no difference by the way). I'm planning a Volant cold air with a bumper snorkel tube next week.
My biggest quandary at this point is what to do about the DPF. I've been told it's the last restriction in the system. I'll look for options in other posts but any help would be appreciated.
