:D A little bit. I think its more cold and hungry. I'm gonna wait till it quits snowing before I feed them or they'll just lay on the hay and not eat it.

You hiring? ;) I want to come play with the cows :D

When I was going up never had to worry about the snow. Did get stuck in the cow shit a time or 2 after a hard rain.

Its too cold to play! We start calving in a month, there will be all kinds of fun then!

Our cows arent confined enough to get crap deep enough to get stuck in, but it sure makes it slick sometimes! :D

LOL, dont let the wife hear that! That's our backyard fence, it would do no good to fix it.....once the snow is gone they'll just reach their heads over and mash it down again to eat the grass. MOST of them are too lazy to jump over it especially if it looks like its uphill.

And, they are only here for 1-2 months out of a year...it works for that. :D Hopefully we'll be building a new house in the next year or two so she can have a new fence there......

LOL they do look pissed!!

Hmmnn round here you usually don't see cage wire for fencing unless it's an elk farm. Canadian cows must be wilder, usually a fence like that they would be through in about 10 min of being there. Need lots of electricity and barbed wire to keep the buggers in.

Naw, I'm sure it was some "fancy" fence that someone put in 40 years ago when they built the house. 1/2 of our fences in the winter are 1 hot wire run by solar powered fencers. The other 1/2 are 4-5 wire barbed wire fences. All out pasture fences are 4 wire barbed wire fences. That's when they like to jump. In the winter they stay where the food is given to them most of the time.
Its funny, after you mentioned that it looked like they could get out one of them did. She got right back in once the hay started getting unrolled though!

A few yrs ago a guy at work brought in a pic of one of the cows that had gotten out. Some how she climbed on top of a stack of round bales. They never did figure out how she got up there, but they had fun trying to get her down.
