Just a heads up for people who have installed hands-free car kits for their cell phones...A buddy at work recently installed a Parrot 3200LS on my '07, Dad's '02 and boss' 07...Boss' 07 also has OnStar, but I've never pulled any fuses while flashing tunes...I was able to read the TCM file while he was standing a few hundred feet away, so I know my EFI Live was working properly...As I was about to flash an ECM tune, he walked up to the truck, which connected the Parrot and his cell phone via Bluetooth...I started the flashing process and promptly locked the ECM...Luckily SoCalDiesel is 5 miles from home, so I called Guy, met him @ Starbucks:D, and he offered to fix my problem...Over the next few hours, he saved the ECM with his bench harness, USB-OBDII adapter, and TIS capability and updated my TechII...I was in a panic for 8 hours thinking I was gonna have to buy a new ECM, but fortunately Guy doesn't lose his cool...I'm 99.9% sure the Parrot unit caused the lockup, as that was the only thing different about the truck since the last flash...

The point to this long story, as Guy recommended, is DO NOT be afraid to pull fuses for aftermarket accessories...I'd hate to hear of someone else having the same problem...

Thanks again Guy...

I have to pull the power from my GM-sir1 sirius radio or EFI aborts a flash. I put a switch in the wire so i can switch it on and off easily.

I think I worded my first question wrong.
Do you have to remove stereo power or any other fuse for oem equipment, or just the aftermarket items? What fuses would you have to pull on a truck that has no aftermarket accessories besides a brake controller, but is equipped with the bose stereo, steering wheel controls and onstar?

Prior to the Parrot install, I never pulled fuses on the '02 or either '07, neither of my trucks has OnStar, boss' does...IIRC, the "info" fuse removes OnStar power...
