Does it matter what kind of hairspray is used on the silicone boots? I have this weather resistant extra hold stuff. Just so I'm clear it makes it easier to slip the boots on, but when it dries it's almost like glue? Thanks guys. :baby:

The cheapest aerosol hairspray is often the best, Aquanet IIRC is one. It is pure lacquer and propellant. Same stuff is sold in art stores to keep chalk pictures intact. High quality hairspray has other ingredients in it. Handy for many things, holding gaskets, waterproofing connections, sabotaging your friend (spray it all over his K&N liberally), keeping felt pen notes on metal parts intact, scaring the crap out of people when used with a cigarette lighter. Think of it as clear paint.

I know a guy with a 750 kawasaki ATV that talks too much about how awesome it is and this would be the perfect joke to play on him sept long weekend.

I owe him back anyhow for putting all the empty beer cans after the ride in my saddle bags on my sled last winter-which I just found last month.:barf:
Thanks for the idea Pat.:happy2:
