Well i turned on a road and got on it pretty good testing my new tranny tune , the low coolant light came on so i pulled off and then the engine overheat alarm came on (son of a bitch) but got it shut off right then. Seems that the overflow blew out alot of coolant everywhere. Well i got it refilled and started it with the cap off, checked out good, A OK. Took off limping to the house and halfway there it started getting warmer than operating temperature but not overheating. Got in the driveway and popped the hood. All the coolant was still where i poured it up to, so thermostat(s) out or what? It was just an all of a sudden thing.
I tell ya i replaced the water pump about a month ago, and replaced the rad cap a couple days ago, solved my pressure problem. Might as well change thermos too huh? I loosened the air bleeder screw, let some air out today. Drove up and down the road a while, and it started getting warm on me again, don't believe there is any air left in there but i'll try again. The hose is soft right now, been sitting all day so no pressure being held in there. I'm thinking the thermostats are just junked on me.
