Yesterday afternoon I was up at my wife's clothing store after I got off work hanging out with her and my kids. My boys 3 and 1-1/2 were running around playing like they always do. My youngest was dragging around a 5 gallon bucket playing in the back when we heard a crash. A big trifold mirror weighing around 100lbs. had fallen on him. I just knew when we picked it up that he would be badly hurt and cut. Well all that was cut was the end of his finger which required two stitches. They did a CT cat scan on his head and sent us home. When we got home we realized that he couldn't walk so we rushed back to the ER for more x-rays. They said the spinal and pelvic x-rays were clear also. He is walking a little but is shakie. I think he may have a bruised hip or something the x-rays won't show. I would like everyone to keep him in your prayers and remind everyone to watch those babies. Sometimes dangers exist that you don't even think about.

Wow, I'm really glad that there were no major problems:). I know I would be completely torn up if anything ever happened to my daughter.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. We've been out running errands this morning and I think his hip is sore but he is walking around pretty good on his own now. Still a little wobbly sometimes but I think he was a little traumatized at first too. I took him to Academy and he picked out some cool looking Adidas and wore them home lol. I think he will be fine and I pray there are no long term effects.

Glad that he's OK.. when i first started reading I thought the worst.. My two girls are the same ages and they ALWAYS get into stuff!! And new things always seem to help with the healing process :thumb: it does for my girls anyways lol

Ah, I feel for you! Today after church, my 6 month old daughter started choking, so we turned her over and started patting her back but she still couldn't breathe, her lips were starting to turn blue and she looked like she was going to pass out. Luckily my wife just shoved her finger down her poor little throat, and pulled out a big dangle-y earring. My daugter had somehow snached it off my wifes ear without her noticing. We were all pretty shaken up after that.

I hope all goes well and returns to normal with your child. We'll keep you in our prayers!

Things can happen in the blink of an eye. I never realized that until I became a father. We have had some scares ourselves and every time my heart drops into my asshole when something happens. I'm glad the little guy is ok! Glad to hear the 6mo old baby girl is ok as well. I have CPR training every year and with having kids I always remember the finger swipe. Have had to do it once myself.
