gutting my cat and dpf on my 07 hd

hello I am new to the site so be kind...lol.I am wanting to gut my cat and dpf on my 07 duramax and get a good programer for it. I want to keep it on my truck tho cause CHP here will do random checks going down the highway.

im not wanting any crazy drag pro grammers or anything like that. Juat want a good economy and tow pro grammer that will block out the dpf also.

I was told to go with a PPE programmer so any thoughts or ideas are greatly appreciated.

EFI Live hands down! Besides that I know no other programmers on the market

You will either have to find a used programmer because there is no programmers left that do deletes courtesy of the EPA(and people blowing black smoke causing the EPA to crack down), buy EFILIVE and use the currently available software as they have said there next public release will no longer do deletes, or buy a tune from a big name tuner that is still offering DPF deletes(quite a few have already ceased offering DPF deletes due to fears of EPA crackdowns).

EFI Live. Don't advertise that you have it. Have your programmer provide a cleaned up stock tune.

If your in cali I wouldn't gut it. You have to smog it.

I live in ca and had a 2008 lmm, same engine as you (i asume you have a late 2007), and i went straight pipe ( via efi live) but like they said you have to put it all back on to smog check, sucks but you can actually have a good sound and you save about 300 lbs taking all that crap off. After a couple years you will be good at it nd be able to swap it all out in about 20 min:d

Currently we have only a visual inspection. A gutted kitty will pass without a problem....
