K my exhaust smoke was normal (like no smoke at all) and now i got some gray smoke flowing only when i am on the gas. If anyone could advise me to what is going on would be appreciated.

Just wanted to update as to this so called gray smoke. Took it to dealer to have a diagnostic done (tech 2 info).. They called me @ lunch today to give news as per inspection. They said i had 2 leaking head gaskets and 8 bad injectors. I have only had this truck for 3 months, when i bought it i got a WSA warranty on it. The dealer said i had a full lifetime warranty on my motor.. I had the dealership call the warranty place and go about a claim for headgasket and see about the injectors also.. NOPE.. my warranty does not cover gaskets or seals nor the injectors. So i am then told by the dealership that i am over the 7 yr/200,000 mile warranty by 30 days, as i have a 02 duramax.. But hell no it isnt, they go by the manufactured day it was built, which was 12-18-2001. i am so F___king pissed, here is a picture of the print out the dealership gave me. i asked for balance rates, but they said they didnt have to go that far to tell all 8 were bad. anyone else have this issue.

Injectors are a common problem on LB7's but I thought they go buy the date the truck was sold or put into service rather than the build dates

I thought they were going off of the date the truck was sold or put into service, not the date it was manufactured. With GM's money problems they are looking for any reason to deny a claim.

Yep if you read this TSB it is when the truck was placed into service.

Have you had the guys run the vin to see when it was placed in service?

How can all eight injectors be bad and but the head gaskets are blown and you still be able to drive the truck up the road. I believe i would let someone else take a look at it and get the facts straight about the 7 year warrenty deal. Thats BS. Sorry man hope you get you truck fixed let us know what you find out.

What are you going to do? I counted the days down on my truck for when the warranty would expire. I took it in right before it expired and had them done. Someone hear can surely help you.......i know there are some techs that can still get you in under warranty.

I'm not sure about the extended warenty but with the regualr one it starts when the first owner takes delivery....not when it was built
