GPCM failure

Started my LLY up the other day, it was just a little under 40F but it started fine. Let it idle for about 2 minutes, got back in the truck and had a CEL. Code shows a P0670 code, GPCM bad and it won't reset. I haven't had a chance to check the 170A breaker (I'm sure it's good), I'm 99% sure the GPCM bit it after 10 years. Looks fairly easy to replace, any words of wisdom before I order a GPCM? Looks like OEM is around $100 USD. Truck stays in the garage and our temp here seldom goes below +20F, should I worry about it not starting if it gets down to a certain temp?

I don't even have glow plugs on either of my built engine trucks, they start fine. If it does get really cold you could always just use a block heater.

i had the same code, same deal, wouldn't clear, for about half of a winter year before last, never had any issues, my truck is fully winterized, but it had no issues starting, i dont recall the temps, but i know we got colder than +20 here

My lbz would randomly stick on last year. I disconnected the main power to it, disabling the glow plugs completely. It started without being plugged in at -5f it was rough but took less than 10 seconds of cranking. Not bad for a 260,000 mi plow truck.
