Crank snapped @ #2 #5 #8 Rod Journals....
Replaceing old 270,000 mile LBZ with a zero mile LBZ this weekend.

I was push starting a sprint car at our dirt track, when the car fired and i got out of the fuel, lots of terrible and expensive things happened all at once under the hood of my beloved WIDOWMAKER.

Theres no way that just happened how in the hell can that happen? i could see it if you were twisting it 6000 rpms at the drag strip but push starting a car?

Wish we could get to the bottom of this bs scaring me a little

I wish I was buddy.
I had just put a new set of injectors in, I just have a straight exhaust and injectors in it.
I've never really twisted that motor that tight. My dad is going threw everything to see what happened. We are pretty motor savvy, so I should have an explanation here pretty soon. When I leave this lease and get to the shop today, I'll try to find the crank and rods and give y'all better pics.

I don't blame y'all for wanting pics for proof. I didn't believe it either.

I'm not doubting you, I've just never seen one break anywhere other than at the back of the 1-2 rod journal. I'd just like to see a crank that is broken in 3 places. It sounds pretty wild.

It sounded awesome.

While we are working on it, I am back in my 7.3 Powerstroke.... Driving it really makes me miss the Duramax. The Powerstroke has a grip of torque after all I've done to it, but it's not snappy like my stock ass Duramax.
It's nice to compair the two, but I want to park my 7.3 quick.

LBZ gets in your blood after you test it with some nice mods. Just have to say stop when you get to the limit on the first things that make trouble instead of going all out but that's hard to do when you are trying for that last piece of the race. Try Try again. Drag it broke good luck on the outcome.
