Gooseneck car trailers

We bought a pj gooseneck car hauler to haul our skid steer and/or mini excavator on etc. but i notice it has a receiver hitch on the back of it? And it's not just our trailer all the gooseneck car haulers I see have a receiver tube? And I'm just curious what the thoughts are for this? My guess is to pull those single axle car Dolly's with so you can pull one more car. Anyone Haul cars and know its useful purpose?

My uncles 5th wheel has one too, he uses it to hook up to his jet ski or snow mobile trailer. Yeah you can hook up to a dolly or another trailer if need be. It makes for a long load but if you need it, its handy to have.

Curious....

How long is your trailer? I have seen some dealers that install a temporary hitch to pull another trailer when they deliver them and we have all seen the fifth wheel camper pulling the boat. Is the hitch factory installed or a temporary set up? Depending on where you are you could pull another trailer behind but like the guy said, it makes for a long load. I've seen a number of gooseneck car haulers and none have had this hitch. Wonder if I missed something here.

In some states pulling doubles is perfectly legal, in others it isn't. In wyoming you can pull doubles as long as you don't exceed 85 ft total length. Cross the border to the north and it is 65 ft max length unless you get a special permit. When I tow my 5er with my boat behind it I am at 70 ft. tows great though.

20ft trailer and the receiver is made into the frame and has safety loops below pretty nice setup but we just don't have a use for it.

I just bought a used bumper pull car hauler that had a receiver hitch on the back too. I figured it is there if I want to pull another trailer behind it.
