So my truck is tuned pretty conservatively and I don't ever really beat on it and I don't really crank it up I'm probably around 80 hp above stock. I do tow heavy though. I'm under 40k miles.

I've developed a funny 2-3 upshift. It seems as though 2nd gear docent disengage before 3rd grabs. There is no slippage and every other gear is perfect. Neither 2nd or 3rd gear slips. Problem seems worse when the torque converter is locked. Also it seems to be less noticeable the more throttle I'm into during when the shift occurs. Other then that the trany works like clock work. Ive never limped this tranny.
I did have a rear speed sensor wiring go bad on my witch I repaired and reset the codes.
Tranny fluid was a bit dark. Dropped pan fluid and fresh spin on and 1.5 gallons of fresh transsynd.

I have no codes I'm thinking of resting my taps with efi live for 2-3 upshift maybe the speed sensor wiring going bad confused the tranny?

Any thoughts or stuff to check?????
Thanx as always.

When you reset the TAPs, go after the trouble shift only. Do not reset all of them.

What he said. I had a bad 2-3 upshift for awhile. Everytime I would reset the taps it would clear up for 500 miles or so. Talked to mike and cleared teh 2-3 shift taps a few times and it's been fine for 2 years now with no tuning changes.

This is the reason I will be buying the inglewood tranny cooler and inglewood will be getting a alison to rebuild in a crate when the time comes.

Thanx guys I'll give it a whirl with my efi live.

so I attached the paint pic of clearring my 2-3 upshift using EFI live, and I'm a little hazy on this since I,m still learning.

Take a look at and help me out if you could anyone.
I used flashscan to connect with my TCM and hit activate on the TCM and then I can either check mark the box or click on clear. I did both seperately only for the 2-3 shift but ntohing really seem to happen.
Am I doing something wrong I,m clearrly connected heck I,ll even upload a paint pic of the console window showing I,m connected. Truck isnt running if that matters?

Thanx all

Ok so even though it seemed as though nothing happened when I check marked the box and then pushed the button....
It works good now, the problem seems to be resolved.
Thanks people.
