Im getting ready to drag race at TS outlaw this spring what would be a good street tire to put on my stock wheels to drag race with and what size should I get I was gonna say around a 245 255 but I wasnt for sure. I have 285-75-16 BF Goodrich All terrian on my eagle alloy wheels but I dont wanna swap them because it is to agravating with the bid lock to change all the time so that why I wanna use my stock wheels

Buy a set of used 265/75-16 tires with a mild all terrain tread pattern, half worn down, and siped.

Some people have good luck with Proxes, others dont. Mine are no better than the Michelins they replaced, so I tend to agree with Josh.
Put your money in suspension setup first.

TOyos work well, if air psi is right, I can 60 in the 1.6s all day with a 6 speed on toyos, IMO they dont like low air pressure, remember they are not a truck tire and already have soft side walls!

I ran 30psi on all 4 ran 1.64 60's a few weeks ago I ran 1.67 60's with 44psi in all 4... I would personally run high psi due to the safety factor.

i have the 285 STII's on 17' H2 rims and love the ride on the street...i havent run them at the track really...once with Ironhyde, not my '01. they were better than the 285/75 silent armors i had run before, but i am a NOOB racer and my best 60' was 1.77 with them
