You heard me, good ones finally! What a deal. Long story short... My truck (01 LB7) was doing the classic smoking. Got worse and worse. Got the money saved up for injectors, so I decided on Pensacola Fuel Injection as the supplier. I went through a local diesel mechanic as well. Well, got the set of 8 injectors, replaced the old ones, ran like CRAPOLA! The mechanic informed me that i had purchased several "bad" ones, and after a few phone conversations with Pensacola we recieved 8 more. I wanted to do all 8 just to be sure. After a second R&R, truck runs AWESOME. I think it actually runs better than when I first bought it.

So now I am waiting on Pensacola to test the first set they sent me and they said they would get back with me. I had asked them if they would cover the second amount of labor. They were unsure at the time, telling me they would need to first test them and see what was wrong. Don't you guys think they should cover the labor for the second set being installed??? I paid cash both times, had the mechanic make two seperate bills being I was wanting try to get them to pay for the second install. What do you think? It cost me an extra $856 for the second time installing 8 more injectors. I'm BROKE now! But my truck runs good so I'm ALMOST satisfied... ha ha...

if there injectors were at fault they should cover the labor for the second install. They are the ones that sent you bad injectors

that's kind of what I was thinking. It was very clear that it was the injectors bad, and more than one. It smoked like a freight train and would only run on 6 cylinders at the most at one time.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not really that mad about it at this point, but if they don't want to help on the labor at all than I could develop a serious tude! HA. I guess we'll see. I tracked the injectors and they were delivered yesterday, so they should be testing them soon and they said they would contact me.

I hear ya. I know it says in their warranty info that they are not responsible for labor, but if they sent me bad parts from the beginning, you would think they would be wanting to make it right with me. I don't want to say anything bad about them, and would like to keep doing business with them also, know what I mean?

I will definately keep you all posted on my outcome. As well known as Pensacola is, I would think they would want to keep a good reputation for satisfying customers. I don't want any hard feelings, and like i said, I would be more than happy to keep doing business with them if they take care of me on this.

Good news! Pensacola Fuel Injection reimbersed me for the labor for installing the second set of injectors. It wasn't what I paid, but it was close enough to tell me that they were willing to back their products up. Thumbs up to Pensacola! It sucked that I had to do a second set, but the way I look at it is nobody is perfect, and my truck runs like new again! :nanawrench:
