I have the rare parts heavy duty tierod setup on it's way, I'm going to get the all season center link brace too. Will this setup hold up good for pulling and or boosted 4wd launches for drag strip? Also I was gonna get 1.5 inch wheel spacers for the rear, any input guys? Or anything else I should look into that I'm missing? Thanks

I got the Kriptonite HD tie rods, which are pretty much the same as Rare Parts and the all seasons center link brace. I have been to the track 3 or 4 times doing boosted launches with no issues, about 12 passes. I do lower the torsion bars all the way as well though.

Ok awesome, that makes me at ease. Uhmm do you need the tool to lower the t bars or just back the bolt out equal turns?

Just back the bolt out, be sure if you crank them back up to jack the truck up and take the weight off the tires.

Jacking the truck up when dropping em also is a good practice. Takes some of the tension off the threads.

You should back the bolt out and count the turns so you know how many to go back up. Driver side will probably be a few turns more.

I agree it will help, but I've never seen an issue with dropping them while under load. I still probably shouldn't recommend anyone do it that way though, I may just be lucky.

I have never seen an issue either, but you can feel the difference. That has been enough to turn most guys I've mentioned it to on to that practice.

I've always been a stickler about taking the weight off when going down and occasionally lubricating the threads yet I still had a T-bar nut and bolt bug up after 2-3 seasons of driving to the pulls. I'm sure the salty winters here don't help.

The rare parts tie rods are robust! With the centerlink brace you should have a pretty stout set up. Although some hate em and some love them the only other thing you could really do would be a pitman and idler arm brace kit, I've had great luck with mine, used them on 3 vehicles now and I always feel like they are a benefit. The truck feels more stable through the corners and the front end feels much more planted with them, to me anyways...

I agree.
Lift the truck to lower the bolts, it takes the tension off the threads.

I've used a shot of spray paint to mark the thread position before, worked pretty good but I still clock the location of the wrench and count;)

Ok thanks everyone, some very useful info. What are you specifically talking about as far as pitman and idler arm brace kit, the cognito kit?
