Good for anything?

I have two turbos and was wondering if they would be good for anything.One came off a 400 CAT,p/n OR-5535.And the other came off a 60 series Detroit.Found a few sets of #'s but not sure which one is even the model or part #.Maybe someone could help TME5101, 23504966, and R2155-BO88G.

After reading your mods I saw you had dpr pistons. Just curious why are you pulling the motor back out? Something fail? I had DPR do my motor just checking to see if there are any weak points

What is the other turbo brand? And is there any A/R on the garrett?

On the tag it says cattapillar.,Garrett hot side 1.34,Cold side .60

A/R on cat 1.37 hot and .75 cold.

Im building a twin setup on my truck as we speak with almost the same A/R on a garrett. So ill let you know how it ends up.

What size garrett and what did it come off of?

It came from a firetruck and it is a A/R 1.39 turbine, A/R .81 compressor

Pulled the cover off the garrett today and measured it.3.75 inches-95.25mm

95mm at the inducer(smaller diameter) or exducer? A 95mm inducer would be bigger than a GT55 and a 95MM exducer would put the compressor right around a GT4294/4094 size.

That measurement came from the outermost part of the compressor wheel with the front cover off.

I'd say that turbo is going to be too small. The compressor inducer is probably in the 68-72MM range which isn't near big enough for what you need.

I have the same garrett of a 60 series. Supposed to be a GT4294, they replace them with K31's. If the turbo is good you could have the cover machined and put a bigger wheel in it, might save you some $$$.
