Just wondering what's the best diesel dodge forum is?

Don't do it:D, you can have a mild built engine for $6,000-$8,000 that will last for a long time at 700hp... I wouldn't go with a Cummins believe it or not you are much better off keeping your LBZ. I know several guys with various year Cummins, and they are ALWAYS broken... rear ends, driveshafts, especially transmissions, etc.

Can't see putting 6-8K in my truck and its still only worth the same amount. For a few K more than the repair, I could be in a 2010 CTD with the new body style after trade.
I don't have any tools nor time to do the work. GMC quoted $5,600 labor alone let alone new gaskets, pistons, no machine work, etc.

obviously you shouldn't have a Dealership do a rebuild on your engine, they will rape you

What's up with the 6.7? No urea injection stuff, less smog, 6 speed auto, nicer interior, new body looks good. This baby will never get modded (intake, exhaust, dpp delete). Wife gave the ok to get a 66' vette in a few months to modify and leave the truck stock!

If your not modding it I think it will be a good truck. I would still just fix the LBZ and leave it stock.

6.7 is a decent engine. Quiet with lots of usable power. I beat one up every day in my work truck (UPS). Minimum 110 start cycles and WOT runs between stops every day for year-1/2 now with 65000 miles and only trouble has been EGR motor.

I dont know any Dodge forums other than the Garage, although CompD seems to be 75% Dodge.

I enjoyed diesel truck resource when I had my dodge but it's been several years n I hear it's a bit more restricted on how it's run.

CompD has a lot of dodge crowd as well.

So u r trading your truck broken?
