I know this isn't a geek techy forum, but I'm sure some of you guys have these things and that's why I'm asking. I've had three Blackberries crap out on me in six months, so work is buying me an iPhone. I'm scared shitless of breaking the damn thing. Do any of you guys that wrench have a recommendation for a good case?

Otter box also. As long as you have the ports pluged with the rubber caps the phone with take a bath in a inch of water also. I dropped mine in a big puddle took it all apart from case and it was still dry inside.

So I take it the defender is the way to go? I'm in the military so between that and wrenching my phone takes quite the ass kicking and I've yet to have a case that's able to stand up to the punishment. May have to give it a try if you guys say the price tag is worth it

I read that the armor series is a bit unpractical so think I'll go with the defender just need to find a place with good pricing

it is really hard for the ringer to get turned back on! i dont think i have had mine do it. i love the otterbox especially since they issued out new holsters the thing never falls out anymore!

oh and the dirt does get stuck wicked bad it seems my phone is always the hip i am laying on so it is dirty alot.

another tip is blow a little baby powder on the inside of the case before installing the phone in it just like a light powdering and blow it off gentlty and then put the phone in.. no more bubbles!

Otterbox here too, and yes it does piss me off everytime I put in my pocket every little piece of lint and dust sticks to it. All in all its a great case and has saved it a few times already!!

New holsters for the otterbox defender? Got a pic?

Thats my 1 complaint, the side detents arent deep and if i nail it on a table corner or something like that it will pop out. i usually wear it clipped to my pocket though and not up on my belt like i should

i looks exactly the same but it holds it much better! here is the link to where you can get it from, they are a free replacement.

it is hard to pull out of the holster if it isnt on your belt, i love it for work no more falling out!:thumb:
