going to ft jackson sc and need help

well on the 10 of march im going there to watch a frind gradute basic traning but the problem is i will be alone and i have never been back east so question is how hard is it to find ft jackson i think i will be flyin in north carolina and drivin to sc i herd its a 2 hour drive is this true?? and will it be easy to find ? thanks for your time

Yeah that sounds about right.....Ft. Jackson is about a 1.5-2hour drive straight down I-77 if you are flying into the Charlotte Airport.

You can't miss the signs off the highway. You'll need to have a way to get on base. I'm not sure how it works for civilians coming to see the graduation. I would guess they have escorts at the gate or something. Just go to the Pass/I.D. gate (there will be signs) and tell them you your there for a friends graduation. They should be able to tell you what to do from there. You will need to have ALL the information of the vehicle your driving. Driver's license, proof of insurance, registration. If you don't have that info you WILL NOT be able to get a pass and drive on the base. If you are getting a rental, make sure the rental company includes ALL that info for you inside the car. If you have anyone else in the vehicle they need to be on the pass aswell. They have to bring a form of I.D.
