Well I'm going with a built trans now and have 4500 to spend was looking at going with the gmax5 and still undecided on converter.

The truck is an 05 lly Ext cab with the following
5in exhaust
Lbz Mouthpiece
Egr delete tube
Pcv 're route
I'd tie rods
Traction bars
Efi live

With the trans build I also plan on adding a downpipe and possibly a tail housing brace.

The truck is my daily driver and will be used for some sled pulling and maybe a 1/4 here or there

Thanks for any help

Perofrmance motorsports in maysville ky heard about the suncoast tc and the precision ml tc the precision will be more in my budget but when it comes to people saying too loose or tight I'm lost

As for my future plans maybe bigger single but hp won't be high enough for me to build the motor so I don't think I'll reach the 700 mark. Along with that claim been told I dint need billet shafts they're truly not in the budget but I like advice

Make sure you get Mikes springs. Can't even describe how great my trans shifts.

There 3 springs that go in the valve body portion that doesn't have any electrical connectors... Shifts so much nicer than it ever did at stock power levels 0 delay in shifts and just slams through the gears!

Edit... Here's mikes thread about them I got all 5 of the springs he talks about in there. http://www.duramaxdiesels.com/forum/showthread.php?t=62681

How long does it take to swap them out?

I could probably do it in 2hrs total time ... Less if I didn't care about trans fluid all over my face lol while I was in mine I did mikes springs, transgo, internal filter, external filter and switched to transynd and had about 3 hrs in it.
