Kat and I race for fun. McRat Racing and it's customer website is just an extension of that, and is a tool just like a torque wrench or a GM manual is.

The purpose of this tool is to provide ways of going quicker and pulling farther with our trucks.

Just like you can wreck a wrench by using it wrong, this tool can be busted by using it wrong too.

Ways we can bust this tool:

Slamming folk - None of us are perfect (I'm a prime example), and when you put hate on a board it can cut back tech content. #1 worst thing is calling someone stupid. Telling someone they suck at racing is a close second. Everyone has something to contribute, and nobody is John Force. The slowest trucks on this board are faster than a 1977 Corvette, so everything is relative.

Attacking other websites - Every website has good and bad qualities. When you slam other websites, it draws trolls, and alienates folk who like the other websites. I encourage everyone to visit all the performance sites they can. You never know when you will find a pearl of info in one.

Well put, Pat.
A lot of us, including myself, have said some stuff that does nothing but degrade the sport we love. It's hard to hold back comments when someone is bashing you. The high road is the way to go and thanks for reminding us of what this is all about.

I'm certainly no angel, and some actually think I'm the devil. But I will try and live by own words and make an effort to straighten up.

There is no problem discussing what you've seen on other sites, or listing other sites you visit, and I encourage it. But I want keep this focused on performance and meeting with friends who share the same interest instead of being a sounding board for grievances.

Thanks!
