Got the trans out today :D but danny got some issues

Anyway started takin it out last night and couldn't finish cus we couldn't turn the motor over to get the tq converter out but finished this morning and got the trans to Century Transmission in Richmond Texas (mr Mike Kurtz) and should have it back tomorrow evening if my ML PI shows up in time ill have it running again by sunday :happy2: and then Danny will have a truck to drive untill he gets a new motor. Also just picked up the GMax 5 pack thats going. Anyway just excited to stop the limping now i can pull the race truck @90+ no problem!

yeah! lets thin that blood up so you can die faster! Well apparently there was some wrong pieces parts in the kit (i guess i have a early 04 trans:confused:) but ended up finding one in houston so it still should be finished up today and hopefully me and danny get get it almost 100% thrown in tonight. Only question i really have is what ATF to use?

Only question i really have is what ATF to use?

Dex III works great in my trans and so does Transynd

and after tonight he needs another one. sadly we didnt get it finished :( i totaly forgot to get a gasket for trans to t-case but we got the tq converter bolts knocked out (and yes used the supplied bolts like your suppose to) Tomorrow im hoping i can install the tcase myself then all i have is electrical connectors, fuel line brackets, cross-member, starter, front fan, fill with oil and run. Anyway cant wait to finish tomorrow will be nice to have the truck run corectl

Its in and running!!! :happy2:
2 things happened though
first the pnrdl connector does not want to stay plugged in, i broke the tabs that hold it in when i was taking it off i couldn't figure out how to release it and taped it some with a wrench and it seemed to come off right but i guess not :mad: so i put a bit of silicone on there to help keep it on

second is it has a hard 3-4 shift im guessing this is just the pcm trying to relearn? before it shifts it wants to rev up a little more and hold it then shift some what hard.

Besides that everything is awesome i love this converter :thumb: and cant wait to get a race tune on it once i switch from hp tuners to efi live

I would get a Tech II clear the TAPs and put the Allison into fast learn... it is the best way to do it
