Seems like every so often GM changes the site and makes it harder to find the needed PDFs on the upfitter website. The ones we've downloaded over the years are typically too large to upload here and of course, since space is a premium and uploading 5+ Mb files every time one is needed will fill up the server storage quickly.

So, what about one location where we can host the various PDFs for our trucks electrical and other important documents? Somewhere we can point people too when they are looking for help. I think many get lost trying to make sense of the upfitter site and the way older vehicles are labeled and organized.

I don't know if there is any copyright or other legal issues with this. But if they ever pulled those documents down many of us would be stuck and helping new people would be a lot more difficult

It would be pretty neet if it could be hosted under the top header links like in the "Tools"

We could also rename the documents so they are more descriptive of what it is. Instead of "2003 and beyond " it could be something like electrical for "2003+ LB7 and LLY"

It would be nice to put the other spreadsheet tools like the timing calculator in there too

I have 2 GB, about 1300+ docs for you.

It is a GOOD idea, but someone has to do the work to keep it up or it will be like the older GM UPFITTERs files.

I was thinking more about the main electrical manuals. Organized by generation and labeled well. I know there are potentially thousands of posable documents one can need. But thare are some that are routinely requested that we can maybe host here.

A drop down menu with maybe 10-15 manuals one can click on and download to their computer or phone

I know there's going to be those random troubleshooting guides, code descriptions and specific requests. But as long as we have those larger files that we can't upload to each and every thread asking for that information in one place, it should cut down on the uploads. We would just point them to the location in the forum were to find the document.
