Ok so its that time I need to change glow plug #4 I tested its done.

So what brand should I buy?
Should I change all 8 or just the one?

Whats a good price?

The ACDELCO ones around here I can get for $38.00 CAN each

But on RockAuto ( have to cross border to get them add $15 CAN )

BOSCH Part # 80044 at $23.97 +$2.05(shipping) USD each (total 25.84 )

ACDELCO Part # 61G {#97364968} at $19.51+$5.46(shipping) USD each (total $24.97)

If I should buy the Bosch I may call around town if I should only replace the one.

I did a search did not really find much on here about glow plugs most of the threads are about the controllers.

RockAuto also has STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS ones and NKG ones but I am not sure about them.

Thanks guys.

Stay with genuine ac delco/beru. Don't cheap out on them, I made that mistake and ended up returning all 8 and just replacing the 2 that actually needed replacing. Plus I bought 2 extras just in case.

I would replace them as they fail considering it is not a hard job to do anyways.

I was getting BERU's for $16 off ebay for a few years. If you plan on keeping your truck buy a set because they are normally cheaper and just due them one at a time. I have had 1 bad every year or 2 since my truck was 4 years old so I see no reason to do them all. But you might take them all out if rust is a concern and put some anti-seiz on them.

Just replace all 8. Or At least pull all 8 now while your in there for 2, never seize the ones you don't replace and reinstall. The ones you don't touch now are only going to rot more with each salty winter you go through, increasing the chances of one breaking off in the future.

I got Bosch or AC Delco can't remember which from Injectors direct. I think shipped all 8 were around $20. Change them all. And never seize them. Better than having a tip fall off later on.

I just got Bosch at the dealer since that's what the truck came with factory. Around $35 each bit I only had 2 bad ones.
