I would like to get a complete fibrglass bed from these people,However they wont make it unless they have atleast 4 more people that are interested......They need to make the tooling for it.

Cost would be around 3000.00 bucks
wieght would be around 60lbs:cool: Non fuctional tail light so you would need to add a light and the tail gate wont be functional.

Short bed, long bed doesnt matter

My geuss is that the stock bed is atleast 400lbs +

I think I could get a couple guys to drop the coin. 400 hundred extra pounds on the front bumper is a big deal in pulling :)

:thumb:

I sent an e-mail a few days ago on a front clip. I have had no response as of yet from them!!

I would just call them Russ....IIRC the front clip weighed in at less than 30lbs for the front bumper, hood & fenders

Ask Buck or Jess about the fiberglass bed on their truck, said it was a waste of money.

Waste of money because they lost over 400lbs? That is there opinion, not mine.

Where did they get a fibreglass bed from?

I would think the 3grand a glass bed would cost would be better put to engine
200lbs less should net around 1/10th of second faster
3grand in the motor would be 50-100hp more 2-3/10s quicker unless your investing in a bottle kit that would cost 1/2 of that & add more

I agree but there becomes a certain point were we have all the motor that can be had reliably , so to go faster weight needs to be adressed or you will keep wading up motors and transmissions .

Example a 5000 lbs truck that has 750 hp will run 10.12 @ 132 mph

the same truck @ 6500 lbs 11.07 @ 121 , not to mention the parts will last a whole lot longer carying 5k instead of 6500 .

Where do you get 200lb? Ive had my bed off that has a huge layer of sprayin bed liner and I gaurntee its more than 200lbs Also,My bed has a huge dent in it and tons of scratches the body work would end up costing to fix and still be heavy. This is how I can justify getting a glass bed

If you dont want one thats fine:)

the pulling trucks probably would hafta be mod trucks. Otherwise, all the rules I've seen say OEM sheetmetal.

The whole damn truck ain't be double that price, might as well get the whole truck glass and sell the body/cab/box/frontclip???
