We really were running the pump to try and find the leak. It was simpler than trying to make the motor run with the valve covers off. I really am starting to not like the LB7 setup! Has anyone else had problems with leaking fuel into the crankcase? Jeff

Check to make sure you are not missing a crack in the return line. If that looks good you might have a cracked body.

and that the ends of the lines were 100% clean and true so that they fit perfectly. I'd almost consider getting new ones if the old ones didn't look practically brand new. Been there, done that, got the new lines. :thumb:

Not sure if it would apply here or not, but might do the return rate test that Trent did when he had a cracked injector body. The difference in the rate of return in the fuel showed him where to look. And yes Jeff, the LB7 are not very user friendly in many ways.

Leaking fuel

Dan, I has new gm injectors. Not that it couldn't leak but I can change the rate at which it leaks when I mess with the lines. That's why I run the pump with the covers off to look at the injector's with pressure on them to see if they were leaking. Simon, A impact won't begine to turn the pump under presssure. I was told it takes 10 hp and I believe it after are hilbilly pump driver setup! Jeff

Damn , 10 hp ? thats impresive i have never turned one under pressure , best of luck guys hope you get it working , I have never had problems leaking under the vlave cover but i would def be replacing the return lines if they are suspect , its too damn mucxh labor to mess around , I have ahd my injectors in and out 4 times in the last 3 months , but now have all new everything so i should be good for a bit .
