So I'm getting married in 7 months. I proposed to her last December and it's going by too fast, faster than I thought it would be. Most of the time I had the urge to save up and spend on something for my truck but..... gotta save for the wedding and honeymoon.

It's driving me nuts, I feel like I want to get something for my truck like a built tranny or something! It's been over a year since I bought something for the truck.

Felt like I had to say it......

It happens to the best of us man. Just think though now you will have 2 incomes to spend on the truck:D

IDk about 2 incomes. She pretty much pays the utilities while I pay the big stuff..... It will be when she graduates and find a good job as a General Heathcare Administration. It's pretty hard to find a good paying job when you're deaf which she is and I am too.

:spit: Lol!! My wifes a school teacher, She carries her weight but she also spends all her money,,, and a good chunk of mine on the regular:rolleyes::) The only way I get toy money is to make sure the essentials are taking care of first and then buy & sell cars, trucks, equipment, hustle up additional work as well as side work, and as of most recently buying properties on the cheap, re-habing them and renting them out.. That pays for the toys, but believe me its never enough:rolleyes: The more you make, the more you will spend, FACT!! Congrats on the engagement man:thumb: I know Without mine I would have spent all my money way before I could have invested any of it, Balance is a good thing. Best of luck to you both

Thanks. From what you say, its pretty much the same with my fiance. She carries her own weight and I do spend a chunk on her too. I make sure everything is paid first before having fun or toys such as our quads and recently had to get her a new car. She wanted a truck like mine but couldnt afford it and she drives alot so got her an 09 Malibu LTZ with a 4 banger to save some fuel. Someday she'll have her own dmax whenever they come out with one in a SUV. I work 60+ hours a week so its never ending.

I built my BURB up during the hitchin process:D. Decided to get hitched in January, had the wedding in May. I started on the bURB in Febuary, and got it completed in August. The month before the wedding I got it all laid out, and the month after the wedding my new wife didn't see me for more than 30 minutes a day. It worked out great actually IMO, but she might have seen it differently. I told her since I was out of work at the time and had the money, the bURB was getting done wether we were getting hitched or not.
