I am replacing the turbo on my 05 LLY. I am stuck at the moment trying to get the downpipe out of the back of the turbo. Turbo-downpipe clamp is removed, heatsheild is removed, transmission fill removed, downpipe to exhaust clamp removed, bottom mounting bracket removed.. I just cannot get the downpipe to back out of the turbo.

I have gotten it to back out about 1/8".

Any suggestions or helpful hints?

Thanks.

Can you fit a glazing bar or flat head screw driver in between the 2 mating flanges then? If you've got the room try and put a glazing bar in and twist it.

I always take my big pry bar that's prolly 48", lay it against the tab for the turbo heat shield and hit it really hard with a hammer. Usually pops out first or second hit
