Gear ratio's

I was looking up some gear ratio's for my truck on 44 boggers but i couldnt figure out how to do that. Can anyone tell me what kinda of gear ratio i will have with 5.13 gears and 44/19.50/16 boggers

And can i tune my speedo with efi live for these changes with this big of tires and this kinda gears??

5:13's will do the job but you will run into strength issues on the pinion.

The higher you go on gear ratio the smaller the pinion gets. The pinion for 4.56's is smaller than for 4.11's. Etc. With higher gears I have also sheared teeth off the ring gear as well. That was with 4.56's on a Dana 30 though.

Here's the math:

( 44 / 30.5 ) * 3.73 = new gear ratio.

New Tire Dia divided by Old Tire Dia times Existing Ratio equals New Ratio.

Good explination. Couldn't have done better myself. Prolly couldn't understand it if I typed it out.

8" yota diffs are worse. The 5:29s are a great ratio BUT, you would kill the pinion. You had to be very careful.

A 4.56 would work great compared to the stock 3.55
