So got ym debit card account raised and am awaiting an email back about what kits fit a RCLB 4x4 for an exhaust.

While im at it i figured i might as well get the boost/egt gauges as well...and i was wondering, what would i need to make the boost gauge work properly? I wasnt sure and doubt if it does come with any fittings or hoses that would work with the duramax so i was curious what ya'll needed to buy to get them to work? Also does the egt gauge come with a probe as well? If not which type should i buy?

I'm looking at getting Autometer Cobalt Original gauges for everyones info if it makes a difference.

Thanks,
Dave

I'm running Cobalts, everything you need comes with the gauges. Get bigger than you anticipate wanting, IE, instead of the 1600* egt, get a 2000*, and get a 60psi boost rather than a 40 psi, or trust me, you will be upgrading to them later :D

Only thing you might need to buy that doesnt come with the gauges is the correct size drill bit and tap for mounting the pyro in the manifold and the boost tubing to whereever you want to moniter boost. They are cheap and most places that sell the gauges can hook you up with the bit and tap too.

In
they should come with a compression fitting for the boost and the probe for the egt. there are quite a few kits that fir the rclb actually. for the boost you will just need to tap your intake manifold to get a good reading.

It seemed to easy to shop for my 2000, all the kits were all nice and labeled. The only time i see anything labeled now is when its "ext/Crewcab ONLY". So i never know if it fits a reg cab longbed or not, alligator hasnt gotten back to me yet either :/

i just went ahead and ordered the cobalt egt/boost in 60psi and 2,000*F to be on the safe side....still have another gauge spot avaiable and im sure i'll be needing it for something eventually lol.

Summit said the silverline 5" turbo back fit my RCLB so i just went ahead and ordered it, $310 aint bad after shipping and discounts.

Now...to learn how to hook up the boost gauge, and where to drill for egt? I know on the ag forum im on we're currently on a 10page thread about where to mount it lol.

Help would be awesome on this subject as well ;)

s3gulit, do your self a favor and get the additional hose kit from autometer. it comes with a bunch of fittings, plus a stainless braided line about 5 ft long. you can change to the plastic line once in the cab. it looks alot nicer and holds up better.
