What EGT gauges do you guys have and do you like them? I'm looking for an EGT gauge that's not dampened to all hell, but doesn't crap out on you either. Basically when the loud pedal is mashed I want to know if I'm doing 1200 EGTs or 1800EGTs, and not have to wait around and guess for 3 seconds as I watch the needle rise.

wonder why its so easy to find a 1600* gauge and not higher temp gauges. When I ordered my 1800* the salesman laughed and said I only need a 1500-1600* gauge because its dangerous to go above that.........

My 01 has a 0-2000 Nexus i wanted a 0-100psi boost but had to get a fuel pressure to go that high

I dont plan on going over 60 psi boost, but ya never know

I believe i've seen a 100psi boost gauge from Isspro

Yes Auto meter makes them also just not in the Nexus style
Not a big deal it will just say fuel press instead of boost

Really all i wanted was the Nexus EGT but it going into a 2 gauge pillar they should atleast be the same brand...Right?

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm looking for one that does 2k and I've seen one that will do 2200, but it was dampened to the point where it lags horribly and leaves you guessing for a second or so as to where the EGT's actually are. I think it was a Westernach, but I may be wrong. Anyway, I definitely wanted to stay away from that.

I would say a 2000f EGT should be fine, I understand you want to know how hot it gets but if your seeing 2000f EGT's pegged you need to change something.:D

IMHO after 1600* it doesn't really matter. It's already too damn hot for aluminum parts. I tune to keep it below 1600 anyhow as I am still all stock all around.
I run an Autometer C2 pyro and have only changed one probe in 3 years. You need to buy the LED dimmer for it though as it is really bright otherwise.

Dale, how many gauges can you run on one dimmer? How about a link to this dimmer, I have my Cobalt wired in with the dash light dimmer, but the dash goes dim a lot quicker than the gauge, so I put a resistor inline and it worked as far as dimming the guage, but it put an awful humming in the speakers.

I don't know how many gauges it is good for, I run 2 off of it but I would say that do to the low current draw of LED's probably 5 would be safe. That's a good question for autometer.
