gauge illumination lights quit working

if its not one thing its another...all the gauge lights quit and i don't get the audible ding when i leave the headlights on with the truck off...i checked fuses, primarily the ILLUM fuse in the driver side dash board fuse panel and it is good...im just not getting any power to the fuse according to my volt meter ...i recently installed cab lights but im sure that dont have anything to do with it since they run to the underhood fuse panel to a trailer light fuse. anybody got any ideas on what to check?? i've been looking for a loose wire or something and testing every fuse i can and everything looks good so far

Its the dimmer switch box that the headlight knob is on. Happened to mine about a year ago its like $40 at oreillys iirc

even if the dimmer switch still turns on the dome light?

my work truck did that and thought the switch would fix it and it turned out to be te bcm

mine still did and the dome light defeat button still worked too

When mine went out, it put the dash lights at full brightness. I could push on plastic between the light switch and the dimmer and it would work for a few minutes then it went back to full brightness.

well thats exactly what mine is doing...im headed to oreillys now to get a switch....keeping my fingers crossed it works lol

fixed! just plugged in the new switch and it all works again...thanks for all your help!
