Gauge cluster question

I will randomly be driving and three of my gauges go limp out of no where what could it be?

Stepper motors in those gauges are bad.

Is it easier to get a new cluster or replace each stepper motor?

I could see a stepper causing 1 or 2 to go haywire, but 3 with a low fuell ight is a dead giveaway to a drop in the databus signal. I would scan it and look for any U codes as those will deal with loss in communications.

You do NOT have a stepper motor issue.

You have a databus short/issue.

How do I fix a database short? Just wait for it to happen again and put in my scanner and see if it picks up any codes?
