Anyone have any experiance with gasser tuning? I am just wondering if i can turn off a cat code for a 1999 WS6 firebird? Just got done with a motor build, cam and straight pipe now need it to pass inspections but cant cause of the codes. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Derek

Sounds like an awesome car! Cammed Ls1's are bad ass!

Do you have tuning software?

Should be able to make the MIL not report with tuning software.

turn code p0140 and p0160 to no mil if you put the 02's back in the exhaust but if you unplugged the o2s completely and didnt put them back in go to the dtc enablers and p0137, p0138, p0140, p0141, p0157, p0158, p0160, p0161 to no mil

I know it is throwing codes.

P0135 "O2S Heater Performance Bank 1 Sensor 1" EPA ($10) "Powertrain Control Module (PCM)"
P0155 "O2S Heater Performance Bank 2 Sensor 1" EPA ($10) "Powertrain Control Module (PCM)"
P1153 "HO2S Insufficient Switching Bank 2 Sensor 1" EPA ($10) "Powertrain Control Module (PCM)"

those are upstream o2 sensor codes. those are the ones that determine afr once its warmed up. have you got a tune for the car yet.

Nope its not tuned yet, this is my friends car. I think i found out the fix though and thats new sensors (13111's) or try putting the back sensors in the front.
