How many of you guys have put grade c gaskets and ARP's in? What are you running for h.p and boost? Doing mine in the next few weeks and just seeing how hard you guys are pushing stock internals with the arp's in..

You will be good to 600-650hp until the rods bend depending on tuning. They can bend at less with poor tuning. I bent mine before the head gaskets even thought about blowing with stock head bolts.
I would just save the money man. Leave it stock for now. Get good tuning and run at 600 ish till it lets go. Then do it all at once.
I run the c's and bottom level ARP's but run a stock truck. I agree, don't bother if you plan on pushing it. No need to go in and take stuff apart and buy new gaskets when you will end up doing it again in no time at all. Of course, this all depends on how far you do push it. Good luck to you.
I would measure your piston protrusion while you have the heads off. The spec is .010 above the deck
Will do..I was just curious to see how many guys are running them and at what level..Trent tunes my truck and so far hes spot on with everything.
I have C's and standard studs, been around 20k since the engine was rebuild no problems, boost runs around 50-55psi
I canr believe that guy that had the truck didnt do the arps with a full build and twins i know the stocks will hold a decent amount but while he was in there would hve been nice if he would have installed them........for you benifit

:rofl:While were on the subject, my dad just ordered 75 horse injectors and a 42% over cp3 for his 03' lb7. Does he need arp's or will it hold without them?

I wouldnt pull perfectly good and sealed heads untill they pop JMO,but knowing what your adding your probably gonna be a little hard on the head gaskets and the rods.
That where i was at, and then they blew and i had to do them lol. I am planning on running it hard and twinning it. I know its not gonna last and a build is inevitable.
As far as HP, my truck dyno'd 585/1000 before I bought it, and ive turned it up some since then, but I havent owned it long enough to tell if there are gasket issues.

IDK evan, hopefully its one of those freak lly motors that i can beat with a s480 and run 11's with. most likely not but we are def gonna see how much she can take:woott:
I'm sure we can get the old girl to dip into the 11's before she dies :hug: If I had known how well my motor was going to look inside when I took it apart it would of stayed in for another year.
