gas guaged went south after fill up

guess my guage decided to take a long nap:rofl:

never had a problem with any of my guages

filled the truck up and the guage went to full then i noticed it creeping down and down and down and went past E and popped the low fuel light:confused:

Way to go for breaking it. You're always breaking stuff :rofl: The fuel sending unit in the tank probably took a shit.

yeah weird that it happened right as i filled it up lol....its okay its on stock tune right now i have no tuner yet have a hot+2 on the way :)

any ways of fixing it besides dropping the tank?

my 2 cents pull the bed i think tht way is so much easyer like 6 bolts or something lift it right off with some buddys that how i like to go about it again my 2 cents...............does youer gauge needle bounce form full to emety or just stay on E??

Oh I just noticed it was an 04. The cluster gauge failure is a common problem for that year. You can either replace it with a new one or just replace the stepper motor. First, I would check if the sending unit is good by checking the voltage on it, it should range from 0 to 5 volts I think:confused:

its strange how the low fuel light comes on and on the screen...kinda gay i wanna burn the truck to the ground right now my damn stock gauges from 1984 work in both my old trucks....

A dead stepper motor wont trip any alarms ie low oil pressure, low fuel, etc
