gas gauge not working right

OK so i took my cluster out to put stickers on it. and noticed that all my gauges seem to have resistance to them except my gas gauge and my gas gauge didn't work right when i took it out thinking it was the fuel level sender. Is there a way to test the cluster while its out of the truck? any help would be appriciated thanks

bump i can spin the gas gauge freely and it will spin like a top when the others dont!

most likely the sending unit i had the same problem..i replaced my guages and sending unit over $1000 worth of shit before i realized when i changed the sending unit the stupid plastic flotation device fell off the sending unit so check that out before you go spending money:angry5:
