Just like the title says. Got a starting problem couple weeks ago and took to the dealer. They blamed my remote start for a theft deterrent code. Cost $32 no biggie. Got in my truck today and decided to go and do a reflash for some stupid reason. I did a full reflash and now i'm having the same starting issues again. when I pulled the tune I realized I hadn't even changed OS which I had been blaming the first code on. Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem or could tell me why mine is doing this and how to avoid it. Also if anyone has had this problem can you tell me if I can fix the code without messing anything up if I happen to be on an efilive OS when I reprogram the theft code.

Try to do a "full flash" back to stock after removing fuses for all aftermarket equipment including radios. then do a normal flash to put in a performance tune.

I saw the same thing on a customer truck, and only flashing with the fuses out helped.

Wish I could be of more help.

I have been playing with that. Thats the only way I have been able to get it to work. I had to do a full flash with it disabled and so far its starting ok but judging by a few other wierd things happening I am about convinced that my BCM is going to die on me. When the passenger side door gets opened with the key in the ignition the door dinger goes off then when you turn the key on the doors lock. Also when I use the key fob to unlock the doors the DRL come on instead of the park lights. And there are a couple more things that are kinda wierd happening so I hope its The BCM and not something thats gonna burn the truck up. Sometimes I say I wish it would but Id be all sorts of pissed if it really did.:D
